We run two ten day auctions every month from the Lake Card Store eBay account, one in the middle of the month and one at the end. Items of all values can be included in either auction, so a £6 card and a £6,000 card are both welcome.
The two auction blocks
Mid-month auction
A full ten day auction that ends in the middle of the month. Open to items of all values, from single cards worth a few pounds to graded slabs worth thousands.
End-of-month auction
The same again at the end of the month, and equally open to items of all values. Two blocks a month means your cards are never waiting long for the next one.
If it does not sell
Unsold or unpaid auction items are normally re-listed in a future auction block. If something fails to sell after several attempts we will talk through the alternatives with you.
Why an auction
Speed, and a real audience
An auction is a decision to accept the market’s number in exchange for speed and certainty of an ending. Ten days, then it is done, and you know where you stand.
That suits a card people are already hunting. A chase card from a hot set, a card fresh out of grading, anything where the pop report is doing the talking. Put one of those in front of an audience that has been waiting for it and the bidding does work no fixed price can do.
It also suits anything where recent comps are unclear. Rather than guess a price and risk leaving money on the table, an auction finds the real number for you.
Your cards get premium placement on eBay UK, plus promotion across our social channels and at the card shows we attend. Payouts are the same as Buy It Now, and we cover every eBay selling fee out of our own side.

Rates effective 4 January 2026. Sales under £50 also carry a £3 handling fee per item. Sell £50,000 or more with us in a rolling twelve month period and you may be moved onto our higher VIP rates.
